Coconut Water and Its Amazing Benefits

Since I started the paleo lifestyle I have been drinking black coffee, tea and tried Perrier (which I’m not fond of). One day while browsing the health foods I come upon a can of coconut water. I have tried it in the past and was not a fan, but who knows maybe it will be different this time since allot of things have changed in my taste preference. I choose a can and head home. I open the can, take a sip and I’m in love! A sweet treat for my taste buds and it’s so beneficial for you too!

There are 3 choices when choosing coconut water. Pulp free, with jelly and with pulp. Make sure the only ingredient is 100% coconut water. I always choose the without pulp option as I don’t like things floating in my drinks. I have since tried a few brands as well and here are the ones that tickle my fancy ūüôā¬†

In addition to tasting amazing , coconut water is consumed by people of all ages across the world. It conatins healing and medicinal properties. And on top of that, it is easily available all over and is affordable too most brands are 0.99 – $2.00 a can for 1L. I has so many benefits both internally when ingested and externally when applied topically.

It has been used for everything, from a medicinal tonic in tropical lotions to sports recovery drinks, because of its high content of potassium and antioxidants. Coconut water has less sugar than any other sports drink and much less sugar than sodas and some fruit juices. Coconut water is always a better option for kids and adults looking for a beverage. It is the most natural way to replenish the supply of electrolytes in our body, prevent dehydration and keep our systems balanced.
