Agaricus Bisporus is an edible basidiomycete mushroom native to grasslands in Eurasia and North America. It has two color states while immature – white and brown – both of which have various names, with additional names for the mature state. Agaricus bisporus, is a popular edible fungus that is widely cultivated and consumed around the world. This mushroom is typically small to medium-sized, with a round or slightly flattened cap that can range in color from creamy white to light brown. The cap is smooth and firm, with a slightly nutty flavor and a tender texture when cooked.

When immature and white, this mushroom may be known as:

A Spore Print is a collection of spores that has been taken from the gills of a mushroom. The spores are typically collected on a piece of sterile aluminum foil or glass slide. Spore prints are an excellent way to store and share mushroom spores.

We believe in promoting responsible and legal use of our products, and as such, we only collect and sell spores from mushroom species that are legally allowed to be cultivated. These include Lion’s Mane, Pink Oyster, Black Oyster, Pearl Oyster, Shitake, Hen of the Woods, Red Reishi, Turkey Tail, Wine Cap, and others.

It’s important to note that while we do sell spores containing psilocybin and similar compounds, these spores are strictly for educational and research purposes in microscopy, and any cultivation or consumption of these mushrooms is illegal. Our trusted and highly skilled members of the Project Aurora Collective obtain these spores legally and with the utmost care and responsibility.
